Dylan Walker was travelling onboard a ferry off Scotland when a Minke Whale popped up right in front of him. It was a moment that changed his life. Since then he has sought to find whales, dolphins and porpoises (otherwise known as cetaceans) the length and breadth of Britain. As a Marine Mammal Observer for the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC), Sea Mammal Research Unit (SMRU) and Organisation Cetacea (ORCA), he has travelled throughout our seas, observing 13 species of cetacean along the way. Dylan is a renowned wildlife tour guide, author and conservationist, currently working as Project Development Officer for ORCA.

A whale and dolphin enthusiast since his youth, Alex Wilson has been actively involved in their conservation since 1999, when he joined the Oceania Projectís Humpback Whale research project in Australia and the Centre for Dolphin Studiesí Bottlenose Dolphin project in South Africa. More recently, he has served as a trustee for Organisation Cetacea (ORCA), and a publications editor and designer for both ORCA and the Marine Connection. An accomplished designer, photographer and writer, Alex still finds time for weekend dolphin watching trips to the Moray Firth and Cardigan Bay.
